    History:

Tracey was the third born to a family of Ravenclaws. Both her parents, John and Marie Davis, had been Ravenclaws and her brother and sister, Edward and Lanie, were already well on their way to being them as well. It was noticeable rather early on that Tracey was just a bit different. Sure she was smart, but she did not seem to have the infinite curiosity for learning that the rest of her family did. In her early years she spent much of her time trying to match up to her older siblings achievements.

It started in her younger years at school. Tracey would constantly try to show off what she had done, only to be dismayed at the fact that her siblings were doing far better in school or athletics at that point in their lives. As the youngest Tracey mostly found herself being not to much forgotten, but forgettable. Edward and Lanie had awards on the wall, Tracey got into fights at school.

Hogwarts came around none too soon. Tracey was sorted into Slytherin, much to the surprise of her family. But underneath her curls Tracey was ambitious. She wanted to make a difference in the world and no one was going to stop her. Still, her house sorting made it a bit difficult for her to make friends. She was a halfblood and thus not looked upon particularly kindly by the purebloods, and a Slytherin so she was almost automatically distrusted by the other houses. But Tracey found a fast and true friend in Millicent, the two easily becoming best friends, with Tracey's small stature almost a hilarious offset to Millicent.

While in school she never stood out much in academics, she was involved in several clubs. Slytherin wouldn't let a girl join the team, but on her own she was a deft flyer and a brilliant beater. She had fun as a member of the gobstones club, taking a bit of joy when opponents were squirted in the face. But she found more often than not that when she got in trouble, teachers and prefects (outside of Snape and the Slytherin prefects) had a tendency to not give her the benefit of the doubt. Given that, Millicent and Tracey spent many an hour in detention.

The one area that Tracey really seemed to shine in was defense, but in her year Potter, Granger, and Malfoy out shown her so much that it really didn't make a difference. She worked hard in her classes, despite having an appearance as just a tough girl, but yet again she found that she was not good enough to actually be a star at anything. She could not even be the star trouble maker with the likes of Potter, Granger, and various Weasleys running about.

In general Tracey managed to stay in the background throughout most of school. She wasn't a Slytherin that everyone disliked and she never really caught anyone's eye in particular. When she did, she made sure to give them hell for it.

Seventh year, though, it was like everything was turned upside down. Seventh year scared Tracey a bit. She had never had an issue with Muggles really, though they were daft. The Carrows scared her but she knew better than to be too bull headed against them. Instead she took to helping coach some of the younger students, mostly Slytherins and Ravenclaws but a few Hufflepuffs, how to keep out of trouble. She never did anything overt, but her care for others actually started to shine out that year in its own way.

During the battle Tracey did not fight, instead she helped Pansy get the younger years out of Hogwarts. While those idiot Gryffindors were off risking their lives, they seemed to forget that someone needed to make sure that everyone under age actually got out safely. There was a battle going on after all. Sure they won and beat Voldemort, but if people like Pansy and Tracey hadn't led kids out, how many more would have died? It's a question she still rises when anyone tries to make an issue over why she didn't fight.

After going back to school to complete NEWTs, Tracey applied to work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. While hotshots like Nott and Potter wanted to be Aurors, Tracey realized that the real action was in the lower ranks. Sure Aurors got a lot of prestige, but she was now doing the real good work. She's made a bit of a name for herself as an exceptional officer, and has her eye on that top office spot one day. Tracey's finally found the place where she shines, and no one can take that away. Anyone who tries cause meet the end of her wand.
